I'm a software engineer from Kalamazoo, Michigan. I graduated with an Masters degree in telecommunications from Michigan State University, and am currently working at DataRobot on the Platform engineering team.
Outside of work I am an avid maker. I enjoy building CNC machines and robots. I also like writing web apps with a preference for APIs built using Python with VueJS frontends. IoT devices are also a thing I do; If you haven't already, check out MicroPython and its fork Circuit Python.
During the Covid-19 lockdown I also became infatuated with Aquascaping. For those who do not know, this is a hobby where the cultivation of plants and hardscapes(rocks, wood, sand) in freshwater tanks are prioritized over fish keeping. You can think of it as "under water gardening".
Prior to my work at DataRobot I was an Analytics Solutions Architect at Kelloggs, the food company. That's right, I kept the Cheez-its on the shelf for six years, but I wanted to write software instead of directing others.
